Permanent hair removal can be performed with the laser. The laser energy is absorbed in the hair and creates heat, damaging the hair follicle, and the hair subsequently is shed in about 2 weeks. Hair grows in cycles and only about 1/3 of the hair is growing at any one time, therefore a series of treatments is needed.
